The Barlowstraße housing estate is located in the Munich district of Englschalking, and thus in the Munich district of Bogenhausen. More precisely, the housing estate is located northwest of the “Engschalking” S-Bahn station. True to its name, it stretches along Barlowstraße, parallel to the railway tracks. To the south and west, the Barlowstraße settlement borders other neighborhoods of Englschalking.

The Barlowstraße settlement is a very new Munich development, having only been completed in 2003. The architectural firm Weickenmeier, Kunz and Partner was responsible for the design.

The Barlowstraße settlement has a total of 125 residential units. A kindergarten is located to the north of the settlement. It is characterized by high-rise residential complexes parallel to the S-Bahn line and rows of terraced houses with gardens.
