OUR FREE EMERGENCY NUMBER
Always on call, even on holidays!
As a locksmith service, it’s not only important to us to work at fair and guaranteed prices, but also to be available at any time, even on Sundays and holidays. This means you can contact us free of charge on weekends and holidays and commission us to open your door quickly and without damage.
Of course, we’re also there for you at night, when many other locksmiths are asleep and not on duty. Herbert Pichelmaier’s locksmith service is a true 24/7 emergency service. The time and day of the unlocking are of secondary importance to us.
Authorization to open doors
Before we begin work at your home in the Kreuzviertel, it is a basic requirement that you show us with an ID or other document that you are actually authorized to open doors. We certainly don’t unlock doors for just anyone! This security measure simply prevents unauthorized persons from being granted access to other people’s apartments or houses. If you cannot provide proof, we have the option of contacting the police so they can attend the opening of the door. For security reasons, we simply cannot proceed any other way. Please understand this!
The Kreuzviertel (Cross Quarter) in Munich’s Old Town
According to historians, the Kreuzviertel (Cross Quarter) in Munich’s beautiful Old Town gets its name from a Kreuzgasse (cross alley), which today probably corresponds roughly to Munich’s Promenadeplatz and Pacellistraße. Why this Kreuzgasse was called Kreuzgasse in earlier times is still quite questionable. However, it is assumed that a field cross must have stood in this alley.
Together with the Graggenauer Viertel (Graggenau Quarter), the Kreuzviertel (Cross Quarter) marked the area of responsibility or territory of the women’s parish in medieval times. Today, the two quarters officially represent Munich’s Old Town North.
